How to Apply Minéraux Skin Perfecting Minerals
Mineral Foundation & Concealer
Apply a moisturizer and allow it to absorb into your skin.
For blemishes or dark under eyes, cover the affected areas before applying foundation on your entire face. Use a concealer brush to apply small amounts of concealer on the problem areas and blend well.
To apply mineral foundation, tap a small amount of powder out of the sifter and swirl your Kabuki brush into it. With the brush head facing upward, tap the brush on a hard surface (e.g. bathroom counter). This settles the powder into the brush head.
Firmly apply light layers on clean, moisturized skin to evenly blend the pigments.
Start at your jaw line and move towards the center of your face. Buff in a gentle circular or downward motion. Do not add more mineral makeup to the brush when working around the eye area as it will have a tendency to settle into the lines around your eyes.
The best way to use mineral makeup is to apply it in very sheer layers. It is the light refracting qualities of the pure minerals that give it the ability to cover the skin naturally and allow your inner beauty to shine forth.
For those with dry skin, mineral foundation can be blended with your favorite moisturizer to create a crème foundation.
First, moisturize as usual, and then tap a small amount of powder into the palm of the hand. Add a drop of moisturizer. Blend the two products together until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use your fingers or make-up wedge to apply.
When in a rush, a sponge may also be used to apply mineral foundation. Simply apply a small amount on the sponge, pat on the cheeks, nose, and forehead, and then spread using quick, even strokes.
Loose Mineral Blush and Bronzer
Minéraux mineral blushes and bronzers are highly pigmented and should be applied sparingly.
The simplest way to apply them is with a blush brush, fan brush, ultimate buffer brush or cotton ball. Press the cotton ball or brush against the sifter, and then tap the brush to get rid of excess blush powder. Then gently apply the color to your face and blend.
Multi-Purpose Mineral Powder
Use any color from the Minéraux’s selection of multi-purpose powders for eye shadow, eyeliner, nail polish, or body shimmer.
Eye Shadow: Simply dip an eye shadow brush into the desired color and apply to your eyelids. Choose a lighter color as a highlighter to apply under the brow. Use a darker color in the crease as a shader.
Eyeliner: Wet an eyeliner brush with water; dip into the desired color of mineral powder. Mix water and powder together on the back of your hand or in separate container until well blended. Apply close to lashes.
Eyebrow Definer: Dip an angled eyebrow brush into the powder. Apply on eyebrows in firm, quick strokes.
Nail Polish: Using any colorless nail polish, dip nail polish brush into the mineral powder of your choice. Apply to nails. For darker color, use more powder.
Body Shimmer: Apply multi-purpose mineral powder with cotton ball or puff of your choice. Smooth onto body areas.
